Abstract

"Theater" piece on the Maine State Music Theatre (MSMT), noting that many stars of the past are returning to the Bowdoin stage. Returning actor Kenneth Kantor says that participating in MSMT's rigorous schedule can be more difficult than Broadway. Veteran actor Larry Raiken isn't surprised with the subsequent success of those who train and appear at MSMT, adding that he hasn't seen an intern program that trains people as well as MSMT. The small number of college students chosen for the intern program work with people like choreographer Mary Jane Housina, and artistic director Charles Abbott. Details.
