Abstract

"The Maine 100," an annual report on Maine's top one hundred businesses in order of total reported 2003 revenues. Topping the list is Banknorth Group Inc. of Portland, with gross revenues of $1,560,128,000. Fairchild Semiconductor Corp. of South Portland and Freeport-based L.L. Bean Inc. round out the top three. Financial analyst Evan Livada notes that Fairchild is one of the largest players in Asia right now and is extremely undervalued as a publicly traded company. With comments on other Maine companies and predictions next year.
