Abstract

"Chowder" piece on Amelia Earhart's 1930's vacations to Cape Elizabeth's Rock Hill Inn, reporting that the mystery of her disappearance has inspired an expedition this spring by Cape Porpoise-based "Nauticus," which will search for Earhart in waters off the Solomon Islands. "Nauticus" has been auctioning off seats on eBay for those who want to participate in the expedition. Four seats remain, from $80,000 to $250,000 each.
