Abstract

Article ranking the most popular cars in Maine, with a discussion of what the car you drive says about you. The best-selling vehicle in the state by far is the Ford F-150, with Ford Taurus the runner-up, and the Ford Ranger taking third place. York native Josh Hancock, a car consultant to the film industry, says the first thing a car expresses is economic status. But Hancock notes that people in Maine often drive plain cars even if they have a lot of money. On the popularity of the F-150, Hancock says it is a heavy-duty tool that can have one of the nicest interiors in any vehicle.
