Abstract

An "Indian Village at Deering Oaks" was a popular attraction at the Maine Centennial of 1920 held in Portland. Photograph of then Gov. Carl E. Milliken in a canoe paddled by two "Indians" is part of the Maine Historical Society's vast collection of historic materials.
