Abstract

The state Board of Property Tax Review this week heard arguments from Bath City Assessor Michael Austin and lawyers for Bath Iron Works about the value of the shipyard. Both sides focused on the independent appraisal of the yard by Robert McDonald of Cooper & Lybrand of Boston, whose assessment put the value at somewhere between the values given by the city and BIW.
