Abstract

Representatives of the Samantha Smith Center will mark the 10th anniversary of Smith's trip to Moscow by holding a reception and art auction at the Portland Museum of Art Saturday night. Smith, of Manchester, was 10 when she wrote Soviet leader Yuri Andropov, who invited her to visit. Smith and her father were killed in an aviation accident in Auburn in August 1985. Details.
