Abstract

The state Department of Human Services has filed suit against E. McCarthy and Grandson's Lumbering Inc. of Madison for failing to withhold $10,674 from payments to Howard Hurd, a contractor who performed work for the company. Hurd owes back child support, and the alleged failure of the McCarthy company to withhold payments makes it liable for the amount paid to Hurd.
