Abstract

Coastal Enterprises Inc., a non-profit community development agency, on Wednesday announced that it expects to secure $2.1 million in funding from programs run by the John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation of Chicago, the federal Rural Development Administration, the U.S. Small Business Administration and the federal Department of Health and Human Services. The money will go towards Coastal's business lending programs in southern and midcoast Maine, and much of it will be used on defense conversion projects.
