Abstract

Jenny Elowitch, 27, a Portland native who left the state to pursue a professional career as a violinist, is producing the first Portland Chamber Music Festival, which is scheduled for August and will feature young musicians from across the nation. The idea for the festival stemmed in part from her desire to return to small-ensemble playing and to choose her own music. Details, related article.
