Abstract

Portland school superintendent Thomas Edwards has cancelled a Human Sexuality and Family Living Advisory Board subcommittee study on whether condoms should be made available in the city's high schools. Edwards' decision came as a surprise to one subcommittee member, who said that although Edwards never came out in favor of distributing condoms he had been supportive of studying the issue. Details.
