Consumers Water Co., which has a rate-hike request pending before the Public Utilities Commission, has engaged McDonald/O'Meara Communications of Portland to coordinate media coverage. The firm will be paid $19,500 exclusive of out-of-pocket and other expenses, and some ratepayers are angry that the utility has included $6,500 of that amount in the pending rate hike. Details.
