Abstract

A local-option tax bill sponsored by Rep. Annette Hoglund, D-Portland, currently being considered by the Legislature, includes a provision that would allow counties to establish a 25-cent ticket tax for baseball stadiums, civic centers and other recreational or entertainment centers. The proceeds from the tax would be split among the municipality, the county where it is located, and all counties that have a similar tax.
