Abstract

Porteous, Mitchell & Braun Co., which has seven stores in northern New England, has instituted changes that will see all buying and advertising done at the store level rather than through the central office in South Portland. Porteous, a subsidiary of Dunlap Corp. of Texas, had 1993 sales that were flat and slightly below projections.
