Abstract

The Inn at Spring Point will open on May 1 -- The eight room hotel, part of the Peter A McKernan Hospitality Center on the campus of the Southern Maine Technical College in South Portland, will accept reservations only from visitors to the campus, members of nonprofit organizations, state education officials and participants in business conferences and meetings -- The inn will provide students in the college's Hotel, Motel and Restaurant Management with practical hotel management experience -- The $17 million center was funded through a state bond issue and through private fundraising efforts
