Brunswick's 37 commercial clamming licenses are offered on a first-come, first-served basis, and the 60 individuals seeking those licenses yesterday created a virtual stampede when they dashed from a designated waiting spot near the parking lot to the front door of Town Hall -- An informal honor code between longtime clammers resulted in an orderly line in past years, but the system broke down this year when a group of teenagers seeking licenses for the first time arrived just before registration and refused to honor the code Details
