Abstract

The Maine Education Assessment test has traditionally been scored on a percentile basis and in comparative terms, on a scale of 100 to 400. In the future, possibly as early as the 1994-95 school year, the test will be expressed in words as well as numbers, with the wording defined so students will know how well they've done. Details.
