The Portland Planning Board last night voted 5-0 in favor of the recently proposed master plan for Deering Oaks park, which recommends spending $4.2 million over a 20-year period. The plan calls for spending $2.4 million over the next five years, and has come under criticism by city councilors for its high price tag.
