Abstract
Profile of Ty Ly, 27, of Portland, who emigrated to the United State from Vietnam in the early 1980s. Ly lives with her Vietnamese-American husband, Cam Huynh, and their daughter, and her parents, two brothers and three sisters are all based in Portland. Ty Ly, as a new mother in this country, celebrates Mother's Day, but does not expect to succeed in persuading her mother to do so. Details.
