Abstract

The Maine Education Association told trustees of the Maine State Retirement System to sue the state over reductions in state pension contributions or face a lawsuit themselves. The MEA says the trustees have not lived up to their responsibilities to members of the MSRS, and outlined four changes to the law imposed by the governor and the Legislature that should have been resisted.
