Chad Cray, 25, a native of Richmond, has resigned his position as a seventh-grade science teacher at Shaw School in Gorham to pursue a career as a professional baseball umpire. Cray will begin umpiring in the Gulf Coast League on June 20, and hopes to get assigned to the Instructional League this fall. Details.
