Abstract

The Portland School Committee yesterday voted 5-4 in favor of a plan that will have graduating Baxter Elementary School students attend Lyman Moore Middle School, and Stroudwater students attend King Middle School. The plan is designed to ease overcrowding at Lincoln Middle School. Previously, children from the Back Cove area who attended Baxter and Stroudwater students who attended Hall Elementary would go to Lincoln. Details.
