Abstract

Three of a four member Russian delegation from Severodvinsk, the site of the world's largest nuclear submarine shipyard, arrived in Portsmouth this weekend on Sunday and the fourth is expected to arrive on Thursday. The group is concerned about the problem of nuclear waste and will meet with officials of the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and with state, local and federal officals. The Portsmouth-Severodvinsk Connection, a local citizens organiation, worked with Greenpeace International to arrange the trip.
