Abstract

"Close-up" profiles John Kendall, 45, of Falmouth, owner of Chipco International. In 1985, Kendall purchased the Burt Co., a 90-year-old poker chip manufacturing company that was losing $30,000. By inventing a whole new gaming chip, Kendall has turned the company around. Chipco now employs 34 people and expects to hire 15 more in the near future.
