Abstract

A team of law enforcement agents yesterday arrested David J. Richards Jr., 34, and Brian J. Jipson, 30, both of South Portland, and charged them with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. Police found more than a half-pound of cocaine, worth more than $14,000, in the car driven by the pair. The arrests are part of an investigation into a major cocaine network between Lowell, Mass. and Portland. The arrests took place near Exit 6A of the Maine Turnpike. Details.
