Abstract

State legislators have been invited by Maine House Speaker Dan Gwadosky to an informal meeting to be held in Augusta on Thursday to discuss the state's new auto emissions testing program. They will have the opportunity to question state and federal environmental officials and others about the program. They might also take up the possibility of a special legislative session to repeal or delay the implementation of the program, which goes into effect in Maine's seven southern counties in July.
