Abstract

Brief article reporting that the Westbrook City Council has paid Kathy Reynolds, a full-time firefighter and volunteer rescue worker, $7,500 as part of a settlement stemming from her successful appeal to the Maine Human Rights Commission. The commission found that the city violated Reynolds' rights when they failed to protect her from sexual discrimination and illegal retaliation under the state's whistle-blower law.
