Abstract

The Maine Bureau of Banking's Securities Division yesterday issued a warning to the state's 20,000 online computer subscribers to beware of online investment fraud. The warning was part of a national effort by the North American Securities Administrators Association to raise awareness of fraud perpetrated through online services. The state has received no complaints to date, but nationally the problem is growing.
