Abstract

A commission of business, labor and education officials last week delivered a report entitled "Skills for the 21st Century" to the trustees of the Maine Technical College System, in which they outlined the foundation and competency skills workers need to learn before graduating from the state's technical schools. The commission was created by the trustees, and spent six months reviewing research and holding discussions before coming up with their suggestions. Details.
