Abstract

A public forum sponsored by the Maine State Board of Education on school consolidation heard from speakers in both Augusta and Bangor yesterday, with a number of them defending small schools. The forum was the beginning of a public discussion on whether state government should create incentives for small schools to join larger school districts. Details.
