Abstract

The Scarborough Taxpayers Association, inactive for the last 14 years, this week will apply to the Maine Secretary of State's Office to have its non-profit status revived. William Stroud, the group's former vice president who is leading the revival effort, says that once membership has increased the association will publicly challenge all decisions that lead to tax increases.
