Abstract

The Androscoggin County Commission filed suit in Superior Court in an attempt to collect $610,000 that commissioners claim the state owes for housing its inmates at the county jail. The state contends that a 1991 change in state law prevents the Dept. of Corrections from spending more money than it has.
