Jeremy Libby of Pittsfield last week broke his neck at the Loolapalooza rock con
Jeremy Libby of Pittsfield last week broke his neck at the Loolapalooza rock concert in North Kingstown, Rhode Island, when he was dropped while bodysurfing. Bodysurfing involves climbing atop the crowd and being passed hand-to-hand over the heads of hundreds of dancers and is one component of what is known as moshing, which also involves stage jumping and hurling bodies into each other. Moshing occurs most frequently at outdoor concerts that have no reserved seating, and indoors when a mosh pit is set up. Details.
