Representatives of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employ
Representatives of the American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees yesterday objected to a move by county officials to allow supervisors at the Cumberland County Jail to declare emergencies at the facility and force corrections officers to work mandatory unscheduled overtime. The staffing problem is being blamed on an incident Sunday in which inmates got drunk on home-brewed alcohol and caused some damage at the facility. Details.
