Abstract

The newly formed Maine Citizens Review Board, comprising a half-dozen groups seeking referendums on a number of causes, yesterday denounced state election laws and the officials who enforce them. It said that the state's system is weighted against the individual. The group's members include Concerned Maine Families, which last month turned in signatures on a petition seeking a referendum on gay-rights laws in Maine. Details.
