Abstract

SafeCard Services Inc. of Wyoming has completed its purchase of Wright Express Inc. of South Portland. Wright Express will be operated as a wholly owned subsidiary of SafeCard and will remain in South Portland, and John R. Birk, president and chief executive officer, will retain his position. SafeCard, the world's largest provider of credit card protection services, serves approximately 14 million consumers in connection with more than 150 million credit card issuers.
