Abstract

The Portland City Council voted 6-3 in favor of renewing the liquor license of the Showboat Lounge, which had previously violated the city's year-old ordinance restricting nude dancing. In other business, the council postponed considering proposals to limit the number of group homes, halfway houses and other community-based facilities in Portland.
