Abstract

Coastweek, an annual, state-sponsored celebration of Maine's link to the ocean, begins tomorrow with the 10th annual Coastal Cleanup. Last year's cleanup involved 2,500 volunteers and 132 miles of coastline, and resulted in the removal of 17,570 pounds of refuse, including more than 13,000 cigarette butts.
