Abstract

The Maine Chamber of Commerce and Industry is joining several other groups pressing for passage of a bill to ban discrimination against homosexuals, saying the legislation will send a positive message about Maine. Other groups supporting the bill include the Maine AFL-CIO, the Maine Council of Churches, the Maine State Employees Association, the Maine Chapter of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People, and Maine's National Organization for Women chapter.
