Abstract

The McKernan administration has acknowledged that a property-tax refund program that is slated to be cut in the next biennium is out of money for this fiscal year. Leaders of the Appropriations and Taxation committees were surprized at the announcement, and unhappy that they were not informed of the shortfall earlier.
