Abstract

The Maine Legislature approved a bill authorizing police to arrest stalkers and courts to issue protection orders prohibiting stalking. The bill, which defines stalking as following a person around or constantly being around a person's home, work or school without a good reason, faces further votes in both houses of the Legislature.
