Abstract

The state Land Use Regulation Commission has granted water-quality certification for the Ripogenus Dam, clearing one more hurdle in Great Northern Paper Co.'s quest to relicense its dams on the Penobscot River. The Federal Energy Regulatory Commission will make the final decision on whether the dams should receive new 30-year licenses.
