Abstract

Steven W. DiPietro, 41, of Windham, and Charles F. Gayer, 40, of Cornish, were acquitted of bank fraud in U.S. District Court after a weeklong trial. The co-owners of Benchmark Homes Inc. and Benchmark Land Development Co. still face a civil suit filed by Peoples Heritage Bank stemming from the deposit of a bogus $150,000 check in that bank.
