Abstract

The Maine Senate approved a bill which will keep Maine from becoming the only state in the region to adopt the California Low Emission Vehicle standards. Under the measure, three other New England states must adopt the strict emissions standards before Maine can do so, and Maine is forbidden to adopt the standards if they necessitate the use of specially reformulated gasoline.
