Abstract

The state Board of Property Tax Review last week decided that the city of Bath had overassessed IBM Credit Corp. by almost $70,000 in 1991 and 1992 for a mainframe computer it leased to Bath Iron Works. The decision is expected to have little impact on the ongoing litigation between Bath and BIW, in which BIW is contesting the city's assessment of property. Details, overview of tax case.
