Abstract

Ceres Corp. of Shelton, Conn., a payroll and human services provider, filed for bankruptcy earlier this year, and now many of the firm's Maine clients are discovering that the company failed to pay taxes and insurance premiums for them. A number of the affected companies have retained the law firm of Pierce, Atwood, Scribner, Allen, Smith & Lancaster to find out what insurance and tax liabilities the companies have.
