Abstract

An ordinance adopted by Old Orchard Beach last spring has changed the look of the beachside strip this winter. The new regulation requires merchants to make sure winter boarding on their properties "avoids the appearance of economic depression and social blight." The ordinance mandates specific attributes of boarding used.
