Abstract

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has constructed a $380,000, 21,000-square-foot model of Saco's Camp Ellis area to help study beach erosion. The model is housed at the Corp's Coastal Engineering Research Center in Vicksburg, Miss., but members of Save Our Shore, a Camp Ellis residents' group, who visited the Center last month say the model is flawed and a waste of taxpayer money.
