Abstract

A Maine Supreme Judicial Court ruling in the case of former University of Maine employee Deborah Morgan-Leland is being hailed by one Portland lawyer as a watershed in the debate over last year's workers' compensation reforms, while a leading legal advocate for organized labor says the decision applies only to the case in question. William S. Wilson Jr. of the Portland law firm Verrill & Dana says the decision helps clear up ambiguities concerning the reinstatement provision of the workers' comp laws. Details.
