Abstract

The Worcester Energy Co., the owner of the peat-to-energy plant in Washington County, yesterday rejected Bangor Hydro-Electric Co.'s offer to buy power from the plant at a rate equal to the avoided cost of generating or purchasing power elsewhere, saying the price is too low.
